About The Position

Cavalier Distributing is hiring an outside sales representative to sell and support its craft beer and specialty beverage portfolio in an assigned Tallahassee territory. The representative works independently in the field, spending 40 hours per week visiting retail accounts, building relationships, developing new business, and supporting successful sales, distribution, and product placement. The role includes managing the sales cycle and territory, hosting tastings and promotional events, maintaining displays, and representing Cavalier at special events. Compensation is heavily performance-based, with commission determined by sales. Full-time benefits are available after 60 days.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of the craft beer and beverage industry.
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
• Valid, unexpired driver’s license and a clean DMV record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to apply for and obtain a state solicitor’s license.
• Ability to handle products generally weighing 0–165 pounds, including bending and stooping for product rotation and merchandising.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while taking ownership of a territory.
• Able to organize appointments, documentation, and information efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts and develop new business.
• Visit accounts regularly and manage an independent schedule in the assigned territory.
• Sell and expand Cavalier’s product lines and ensure products are placed and maintained.
• Host beer tastings, dinners, and promotions to encourage customer interest and sales.
• Manage the sales cycle, including preparing quotes, executing monthly goals, providing customer service, and making timely collections.
• Support seasonal product displays and store resets.
• Represent Cavalier at special events and festivals, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Manage account documentation and maintain a regular weekly appointment schedule.
