About The Position

Cavalier Distributing is hiring an outside sales representative to sell craft beer, wine, and specialty beverages in an assigned Pinellas County territory. The representative spends 40 hours per week in the territory, works independently, and is responsible for sales, distribution, and product placement across new and existing retail accounts. Compensation is heavily performance-based, with commission tied to sales. Full-time benefits become available after 60 days.

Requirements

Basic understanding of the craft beer and beverage industry.
Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
Valid, unexpired driver's license, a clean DMV record, and reliable transportation.
Ability to apply for and obtain a solicitor's license with the state.
Ability to handle products generally weighing 0–165 pounds, including bending and stooping for product rotation and merchandising.
Self-motivation, results orientation, and a willingness to take on challenges.
Organization skills to manage a regular weekly appointment schedule, documentation, and information processing.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the assigned territory and results.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts and develop new business.
Visit accounts regularly and manage the workday independently.
Sell and expand product lines, ensuring Cavalier products are placed and maintained.
Host tastings, dinners, and promotions to drive customer interest and sales.
Manage the sales cycle, including preparing quotes, meeting monthly goals, providing customer service, and collecting payments on time.
Support seasonal product displays and store resets.
Represent Cavalier at special events and festivals, with occasional evening and weekend work.
