About The Position
Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to deliver products to customers within a designated delivery area. Drivers may deliver flyers and door hangers and are expected to provide service while following company standards. The role also includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and stairs, while carrying products.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to meet the position’s physical demands, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use.
- Ability to drive with far and night vision.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate to addresses using maps and other navigational skills, including at multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
- Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries.
- Operate store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery areas into storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage shelves.
