About The Position
Domino's is hiring delivery drivers to deliver products by car to customers within a designated delivery area. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management and franchise ownership. Team members receive orientation and training on the job. In addition to delivery duties, store team members operate equipment, stock ingredients and supplies, prepare products, receive and process orders, take inventory, complete paperwork, and clean equipment and the facility. The position involves working in varying store temperatures and weather conditions, and may include exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical tasks include standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, and frequent reaching and hand use.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and stairs; delivery may require climbing five or more flights.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, crouching, and frequent reaching and hand use.
- Ability to carry delivery products while walking and climbing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car and carry them to customers' doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate to addresses within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain, private homes, and multi-story buildings.
- Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage and work areas.
- Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries.
- Complete general store team-member duties as needed.
