About The Position

The Delivery Driver works from a Commercial Fulfillment Center and handles regular deliveries to commercial customers. The role partners with the Commercial Fulfillment team to ensure products are delivered on time and customers receive helpful, professional service. Drivers may also assist with retail deliveries when doing so does not slow commercial deliveries or sales.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Class E license.
• Refined interpersonal skills for engaging with others, along with negotiating and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration and motivate internal and external partners.
• Excellent PC skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to work independently and flexible hours.
• Ability to safely operate vans, trucks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift 50 pounds or more, and climb.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Commercial Fulfillment Center Specialist and Commercial Operations Manager to execute regular, on-time deliveries for commercial customers.
• Partner with the Commercial Fulfillment team on all aspects of product delivery to business customers.
• Provide helpful, professional service and proactively identify and address customer problems.
• Assist with picking up or receiving, pulling, packing, and loading products for delivery.
• Observe customer needs and selling opportunities during business visits and pass them to the assigned Account Manager or Business Development Manager.
• Occasionally assist store retail operations with deliveries when doing so does not slow commercial deliveries or sales.
• Recommend product stocking or special-order needs to the Commercial Fulfillment Center Specialist and, at times, the assigned Business Development Manager.
• Obey traffic laws and safely and efficiently operate Westlake Ace equipment.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
