About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes delivering flyers and door hangers. Drivers may perform general store-team duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, and processing customer orders. Orientation and training are provided on the job. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Ability to read maps, locate addresses in the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately, and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to carry products while walking and climbing, including navigating five or more flights of stairs when required.
• Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the physical activities described for the role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate to addresses, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
• Carry products while walking and climbing during deliveries.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Take and process orders by phone and in person, including entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock supplies.
• Perform other store-team tasks such as removing trash and completing outside tasks.
