About The Position

Room & Board is anticipating a future opening on its Delivery Associate team in Billerica and is accepting applications to identify candidates ahead of specific vacancies. The Delivery Driver creates positive customer experiences and represents the company and its products. The role combines local home-furnishings delivery with warehouse and merchandise-quality work in a collaborative, cross-functional team.

The employee works with a delivery partner in a two-person team, alternating between truck deliveries and work in the delivery center. The schedule is approximately two weeks per month making deliveries and two weeks per month preparing merchandise. Delivery-center duties include product inspection, basic assembly, staging, and preparation for delivery.

The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional paid overtime. The position is based at One Enterprise Road, Suite 100, Billerica, Massachusetts. Salary is $55,000–$60,000 per year ($26.44–$28.85 per hour), based on experience and qualifications; the salary is guaranteed, with occasional paid overtime.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to drive a 24-foot box truck; training is provided.
• Be able to lift and carry heavy items with assistance from a team member and/or proper lifting equipment.
• Have proficiency in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with delivery partners, internal teams, and customers.
• Pass pre-employment requirements, including a 5-panel drug screen that excludes THC.
• Provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.
• Demonstrate customer-service orientation, effective communication, problem-solving, and a commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver home furnishings to customers’ homes and businesses as part of a two-person delivery team.
• Alternate between driving a 24-foot box truck and serving as the delivery partner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Room & Board as a brand ambassador.
• Prepare products for delivery in the delivery center.
• Inspect product quality and perform basic assembly and product staging.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to support safe, high-quality delivery service.
