About The Position

NEFCO is a construction supply company that connects contractors with the construction products they need. The Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate provides timely, courteous service by making local deliveries to commercial construction sites and customers’ home offices or shops. The role includes inspecting the vehicle and load, loading and unloading inventory, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with customers and branch personnel. The position works Monday through Friday, starts at 5 a.m., and offers home time every night and weekend.

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Experience driving 24-foot and 26-foot commercial vehicles.
• Two to five years of commercial vehicle driving experience.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Possess a current, valid medical card.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Excellent knowledge of the local delivery area.
• Ability to sit in a vehicle for long periods.
• Ability to work for long periods in varying climate conditions, including cold, heat, and humidity.
• Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl, and twist while lifting.

Nice To Haves

• CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, equipment, paperwork, and loaded product.
• Deliver products using a company vehicle to customer job sites and home offices.
• Load inventory onto the truck and unload it at customer locations while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work environment.
• Ensure delivery manifests are complete and accurate.
• Provide timely, accurate, and courteous customer service.
• Check in with customers using company technology at designated accounts to announce arrival and act as a company liaison.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate from the field with the dispatcher, customer service, and/or branch logistics.
