About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated area and provides customer service while working both on the road and in the store. Drivers receive training and may help with in-store tasks such as preparing pizzas, processing orders, stocking ingredients, and cleaning. The role offers opportunities to develop within Domino’s, including potential paths to management and franchise ownership. The work involves operating equipment, handling ingredients and supplies, taking and processing telephone orders, completing inventory and related paperwork, and maintaining the equipment and facility. Delivery work may involve adverse weather, changing temperatures, stairs, and other physical tasks. The position requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and hand use, as well as occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, crouching, and climbing.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Friendly, positive attitude and great customer service skills.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable vehicle to use for deliveries.
Proof of car insurance.
Safe driving record meeting company standards.
Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and continuous reaching and hand use.
Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area.
Operate store equipment and help prepare products.
Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by phone.
Take orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Unload and handle ingredient and supply deliveries, using a hand truck as needed.
Carry pizzas and beverages to customers and navigate stairs or other delivery routes.
Perform other in-store and outside tasks as needed, including couponing.
