About The Position

The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, and cleans equipment and the facility daily. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided.

The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone, processing orders, handling monetary change, and entering orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen. Work involves exposure to varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped areas, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling trays, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and using tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders in person and by telephone.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying up to 30 pounds.
