As a First Supply back up Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate, you will fulfill many duties that help the warehouse run smoothly and be responsible to load and deliver merchandise from our warehouse directly to local customers! Requirements

  • Valid medical card to satisfy DOT requirements and be at least 21 years of age
  • Two years of truck driving experience preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Driving record which meets Company insurance carrier standards
  • Good computer knowledge and skills and the ability to learn First Supply LLC's business system
  • Good organizational skills related to managing paperwork and time
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail

  • Candidates must submit to a drug test with negative results on employment offer
  • The ability to be bonded as defined by First Supply LLC's fidelity bond insurance carrier
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets underwriting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, package and ship orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Utilize radio-frequency (RF) scanning equipment and warehouse technology to track inventory movements and returns activity.
  • Process incoming product in a timely and accurate manner, checking for damaged products
  • Understand and be able to determine status of order at any given time
  • Answer the telephone in a polite and timely manner; answer questions correctly, take accurate messages or refer the call to the appropriate person
  • Follow tag and hold procedures for all incoming shipments and keep hold area clear and accessible
  • Follow any special instructions pertaining to an order
  • Point out any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to Warehouse Manager or Inventory Control Specialist
  • Label outbound material with appropriate shipping label
  • Ensure documents/system match actual quantities/items picked
  • Keep warehouse area clean and organized
  • Deliver merchandise to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Drive Company vehicles defensively while following all laws and DOT regulations
  • Be courteous and service-minded in dealing with customers
  • Assist in loading and unloading merchandise on vehicles
  • Follow assigned scheduling of deliveries
  • Check orders for accuracy and damage; check pack slips for special instructions
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Report operating problems or maintenance needs on vehicles
  • Adhere to Company policy and DOT regulations
  • Inform supervisor of shortages, overloads or damaged merchandise or customer complaints
  • Maintain vehicle in neat and clean condition; remove empty skids, pallet jacks, carts, and debris from the truck.
  • Refuel vehicle as directed
  • Fill orders in the timely and accurate manner
  • Package orders in the timely and accurate manner
  • Ship and acknowledge orders in the timely and accurate manner
  • Operate Fork-Lifts, Pallet Jacks, Reach Lift, and Stock Picker
  • Keep warehouse area clean and organized
