About The Position

As a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Support at Grimco, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach our customers safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for navigating delivery routes, handling orders with care, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. It is a Monday to Friday to position between the hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or general labour experience preferred
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing 50+ lbs on a frequent basic
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights as needed
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills including shipping software, ERP systems, and MS Office
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to safety
  • Interest in long-term growth and development within Grimco

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems considered an asset
  • Forklift and Order Picker certification considered an asset (training provided)
  • Additional language skills, including French, are an asset

Responsibilities

  • Drive a company vehicle to deliver products to customers along specified routes, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
  • Carefully manage all orders to guarantee goods are received in good condition, free from damage or defects.
  • Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries, effectively communicating feedback and concerns to the warehouse and sales teams.
  • Support warehouse operations through shipping, receiving, inventory management, and safe equipment operation.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks using both manual methods and forklifts or other lift assist equipment.
  • Collect payment for Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, including cash, cheques, and credit card payments.
  • Perform regular safety checks on the delivery vehicle and maintain a driver logbook as required by provincial legislation.
  • Adhere to all traffic and always driving laws to ensure safety first.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned, including warehouse support, housekeeping, maintenance, and special projects.
  • Pick and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks manually and using equipment.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
  • Assist couriers and delivery drivers with manifests and routing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
