About The Position

Empire Coating is seeking a dependable, hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position offers the best of both worlds-approximately half of your time will be spent making deliveries in one of our company box trucks, while the remainder will be spent supporting warehouse and production operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and is looking to build a career in transportation while remaining actively involved in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Valid driver's license
Ability to meet DOT physical requirements.
Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Successful completion of a DOT drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Previous box truck driving experience preferred.
Warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience operating a forklift or willingness to become certified.
Ability to safely lift and move materials throughout the day.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Dependable with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and assist in multiple departments.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a company 26-foot box truck to transport materials and finished products.
Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Verify shipments and ensure materials are properly secured for transport.
Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules using company-provided technology.
Complete required delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Maintain professional, courteous relationships with customers during deliveries.
Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and customer site safety requirements.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on customer sites.
Assist with daily warehouse and production activities, including shipping and receiving materials.
Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing freight.
Moving materials throughout the facility using forklifts or pallet jacks.
Packing customer orders for shipment.
Racking and un-racking parts for production.
Assisting production departments with material flow.
Maintaining inventory accuracy and organization.
Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Assisting with other warehouse or production tasks as business needs require.
