Delivery Coordinator - Per Diem

About The Position

The Delivery Coordinator oversees delivery of medications and supplies to patients by coordinating with local courier services and national carriers. The coordinator ensures medications are packaged and transported under appropriate temperature storage conditions and performs driver duties as needed. The role also assists the pharmacy department and local office staff. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed registered pharmacist, the position performs clerical, equipment, and delivery activities in compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current driver’s license in the state where employment is requested, with a good driving record.
Proof of liability insurance on a personal vehicle if it is used for company business.
Good written and oral communication skills.
General computer skills, including MS Office, Windows, Outlook, and internet use.
Interpersonal skills to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain performance levels supporting the company’s mission and philosophy of exceptional patient care and satisfaction.

Home care or related healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Order, restock, and assemble shipping supplies according to company processes.
Communicate patient and caregiver concerns and questions to appropriate clinical staff.
Clean and test durable medical equipment as required.
Contact patients to coordinate deliveries or pickups and proactively notify them of delivery delays.
Use cost-effective overnight common carriers whenever possible.
Answer and triage delivery-related inquiries.
Make patient deliveries as required; explain start-of-care documents, collect co-pays, and obtain required patient or agent signatures.
Process documentation and collected payments according to local office procedures.
Perform other related duties as directed.
