The Delivery Assistant helps delivery drivers safely and efficiently deliver accurate customer orders. The role includes inspecting orders, assisting with loading and unloading merchandise, contacting and interacting with customers, providing proof of delivery, and handling basic customer service issues. Escalated concerns are relayed to distribution center leadership. The position does not require or allow operation of a company or rental vehicle. General warehouse duties may also be needed. Work is performed under close supervision, with limited independent judgment and detailed review by a senior coworker or supervisor. The job typically involves a comfortable environment with regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. It also requires intermittent physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering potentially heavy or awkward materials or equipment. Overnight travel is typically less than 10% of the time. A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred; the stated experience range is 0–2 years in the area of responsibility.
