About The Position

The Deli Department Clerk performs deli production and customer service duties while maintaining productivity, accurate department records, and coordination with other store departments. The role promotes friendly, courteous customer relations and professional, open communication to support department and store morale and sales. The clerk follows company policies and directives and serves as a professional example by coaching and evaluating team members. The position also requires sufficient knowledge to teach deli production fundamentals, including mixing, scaling, cooking, frying, and finishing.

• Maintain effective working relationships with other department managers to support storewide sales.

• Set a professional example for store team members through coaching and personal evaluations.
• Teach deli production fundamentals, including mixing, scaling, cooking, frying, and finishing.
• Coordinate and communicate with other departments to support product and service flow throughout the store and deli operation.
• Maintain adequate and appropriate department records.
