About The Position
Nugget Markets is hiring personable and enthusiastic food lovers to work as deli clerks. The role focuses on sharing product knowledge and promoting deli items while providing world-class service to a diverse range of guests. Deli clerks prepare sandwiches according to the posted menu and guest requests, slice meats and cheeses, prepare rotisserie chickens, and keep the work area clean, sanitary, and attractive. This position requires travel to the Davis - Covell, Davis - Mace, West Sacramento, and Vacaville locations. Individual hourly rates depend on factors including experience, location, and length of employment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Proficient knowledge and use of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Basic to proficient knife skills.
- Basic understanding of English, including the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules, and signage.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to learn and retain product knowledge.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service experience is helpful, but not required.
