About The Position

The Deep Cleaner performs deep cleaning throughout the facility and may also perform Environmental Services (EVS) Attendant duties as assigned. The role provides customer service to guests and team members, uses appropriate cleaning chemicals and mechanical equipment, cleans hard floors and furniture, and keeps service areas stocked with supplies. The employee reports property damage or equipment failures to Environmental Services leadership, follows safety and regulatory requirements, attends assigned training, and completes daily work assignments. The position is represented by a collective bargaining unit and is classified as non-exempt.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to work as a team with other employees.
Ability to use and control various mechanical equipment.
Must be able to work with various cleaning chemicals.
Must be able to qualify for and maintain appropriate gaming licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
Ability to read and interpret English-language safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and communicate verbally in English.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, including calculations involving money, weight, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; frequently reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Required vision includes close, color, and peripheral vision.
Regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance while working in varying areas, including confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

Six months of deep cleaning or related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.
Written communication skills in English may be required.
Basic computer skills and ability to operate an adding machine; ability to count money and gaming chips and make change.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to guests and team members.
Identify and use appropriate cleaning chemicals, including mixing chemicals appropriately.
Move, rearrange, and clean furniture.
Report problems, including property damage and equipment failure, to Environmental Services leadership.
Mop, scrub, rinse, and polish hard floors.
Safely operate mechanical equipment and clean and maintain machines after use.
Perform deep cleaning throughout the facility and perform EVS Attendant duties as required or assigned.
Stock service areas with appropriate cleaning supplies.
Work in small or limited spaces and use ladders or mechanical lifts to clean areas at different levels.
Attend departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed.
Complete daily work assignments and responsibilities.
Use two-way radios and maintain professional radio etiquette.
Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Perform duties safely and keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter.
Meet uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
