Overnight Casino Deep Cleaner
About The Position
The Overnight Casino Deep Cleaner performs general cleaning duties throughout public areas of the casino facility, including the gaming floor, banquet rooms, restaurants, retail shops, museum, elevators, escalators, and back-of-house employee areas. The role maintains high cleaning standards across carpets, hard floors, fixtures, windows, doors, and waste areas, and responds promptly to spills, accidents, and debris. The employee also interacts pleasantly and helpfully with guests and staff, shares information about the property and its services, and keeps the work area and equipment safe and orderly.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to respond to common guest inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from employees and guests.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, and other instructions.
- Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
- Able to walk 40% of the time, stand 30% of the time, and bend and lift 30% of the time.
- Able to climb heights in excess of 10 feet.
- Able to lift or move 5 to 75 pounds and regularly and continuously push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in public areas of the casino facility and back-of-house employee locations.
- Clean carpets in halls and corridors, including edges and obstructed or unobstructed areas, using spot cleaning and shampooing equipment as directed.
- Clean hard floors in halls and corridors by dust mopping, wet mopping, and rinsing, using equipment as directed.
- Dust and polish slot machines, artwork, pictures, walls, columns, stairwells, baseboards, waste cans, furniture, and fixtures to established standards.
- Clean windows and doors using tools to meet established standards.
- Remove trash and debris and clean trash cans in assigned zones.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, or debris.
- Interact with guests and staff in a pleasant and helpful manner and provide knowledgeable, forthright information about the property and its services.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure equipment and materials are not left in an unsafe or unsightly manner.
