About The Position

The Casino Cashier distributes money to gaming guests through check cashing and converting coins and gaming checks into currency. The role ensures transactions are properly verified and documented, maintains accountability for funds entrusted during each shift, and provides prompt, friendly, and courteous guest service. Cashiers prepare and verify bankrolls by supplying currency, coins, and gaming checks to money-handling departments. They operate an assigned customer window, employee window (JPH), Poker Room window, and/or Chip Bank, completing transactions confidentially. The position requires adherence to regulatory, departmental, and company policies, collaboration with other cashiers and supervisors, and immediate reporting of shortages, errors, or discrepancies to maintain internal controls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a background check and the MO Gaming License Process.
• Ability to perform data entry and read and interpret computer output.
• Ability to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
• Strong mathematical abilities, including addition and subtraction, and accurate record keeping.
• Dexterity to grip and work with chips, a 10-key adding machine, money bags, computers, and money.
• Ability to bend, twist, turn, push, and pull, and lift and carry at least 25 pounds above and below the shoulders.
• Ability to tolerate areas with second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Six months to one year of cash-handling experience, strongly preferred, particularly in a high-volume industry.

• Perform transactions with guests and employees confidentially.
• Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies and work with other cashiers and supervisors.
• Report shortages, errors, or discrepancies immediately.
