About The Position

XPO is recruiting existing two-person driver teams to operate sleeper tractors on extended runs between XPO facilities. Drivers work away from home on a typical five-day work week, navigating routes and transporting freight while complying with Department of Transportation regulations and safety requirements. The role involves pickup and drop-off of loads, coordination with fellow XPO employees, and use of internal freight transportation tools and systems. The position offers weekly pay, mileage pay of $0.974 per mile for the team, split between drivers at $0.487 per mile, and $35.42 per hour for en route waiting times exceeding one hour because of traffic, construction, or weather delays. The typical schedule is five days on and two days off. Benefits include health insurance from day one, holiday pay for six holidays, PTO, a 401(k) with company match, and reimbursement for on-the-road showers. Drivers use 2023 Freightliner and Kenworth automatic trucks equipped with sleeper-cab microwaves and refrigerators, as well as tractor tool and repair kits. Freight is no-touch and in-house, and XPO has shops and fueling stations across its network. Applicants must be members of an existing team, and both team members must apply. Drivers must be at least 21, have a valid Class A commercial driver's license, required endorsements, a safe driving record, and a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOT physical. The work requires operating tractor-trailer combinations for up to 11 consecutive hours in varied weather, along with the physical activities described in the posting.
