About The Position
American Trucking Group is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers in the Houston, Texas area for a dedicated regional position. Drivers run established Southwest and Southeast lanes, averaging approximately 2,500 miles per week with 100% no-touch dry van freight. Drivers are typically home every 5–7 days, with alternating 34-hour and 48-hour resets. Weekly pay is $1,600–$1,800, with $500 orientation pay. Optional per diem is available, along with a monthly fuel-efficiency bonus of 1–4 cents per mile and a $100 clean-inspection bonus. Drivers use International LT tractors less than three years old, equipped with a 71-inch sleeper, automatic transmission, APU, inverter, and room for a refrigerator. Penske maintenance support is available when equipment needs repair. Benefits include a 401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4% after one month, major medical coverage after 60 days, $25,000 in company-paid life insurance, and paid vacation after one year. A rider program is available with no waiting period, and the company is pet friendly with no breed or weight restrictions.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Current DOT medical card.
- At least 6 months of tractor-trailer experience within the last year or 1 year within the last 3 years.
- Meet DOT and company hiring requirements.
Responsibilities
