About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL truck driver based in Coppell, Texas. The position delivers solo on interstate, over-the-road routes in a sleeper tractor pulling a 53-foot dry van. Freight consists of windows and doors and requires touch handling, including tailgating and sliding items from inside the trailer toward the back door for scanning. The schedule is Sunday through Friday, with a PM start time. Drivers are paid weekly through performance-based mileage and stop pay, with per diem pay, paid training, and a sign-on bonus. The posting lists an average weekly pay of $1,992 and an average annual W-2 of $111,425. Drivers operate well-maintained trucks and have access to 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Ryder describes the role as autonomous on the road, with support behind the scenes, and says drivers make safety decisions. The position requires prior sleeper or OTR experience, along with qualifying Class A tractor-trailer experience. Ryder also offers a transition program for owner-operators whose trucks it purchases when they become company drivers.
