About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL team driver in San Antonio, Texas. Drivers deliver auto parts with a team on routes to Texas, Southern California, Indiana, and Kentucky, and are home weekly. The position uses a super sleeper automatic tractor and a 53-foot dry van; freight is no-touch. Ryder provides paid training on the equipment needed for the job and operates trucks that are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Drivers earn a weekly guarantee of $1,750, are paid weekly, and may receive a $2,000 shutdown bonus within the first year and quarterly safety bonuses of $250. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Load and unload freight, or assist with loading and unloading if required by the customer.
Perform other duties as assigned.
