Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Prior auto parts sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner, including providing updates on parts status.
Read and understand the parts catalog to identify and discuss specific parts.
Answer phone calls and provide customers with price quotes and other information.
Review body shop estimates to verify that ordered parts are correct and pricing aligns with the estimate.
Provide high-level service to internal and external customers.
Pull and fill orders from stock and perform weekly bin checks to ensure stock accuracy.
Notify the parts manager about out-of-stock parts or shop materials requiring immediate attention.
Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders when necessary.
Ensure internal parts requests are billed on the service repair order.
Receive retail customer payments or obtain credit authorization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
