Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Prior auto parts sales experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Discuss customer parts status effectively and efficiently.
Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and discussing specific parts.
Answer phone calls and provide price quotes and other information to customers.
Review body shop estimates to verify that ordered parts are correct and pricing aligns with the estimate.
Provide high-level service to internal and external customers.
Pull and fill orders from stock and conduct weekly bin checks to ensure stock accuracy.
Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials requiring immediate attention.
Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders when necessary.
Ensure internal parts requests are billed to the service repair order.
Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
