About The Position

The Dealer Trainee learns to deal core games offered by the property while delivering friendly, helpful customer service with an upbeat and positive attitude. The role involves learning gaming procedures, protecting and controlling the game, and handling currency, chips, and bets accurately in accordance with house rules, internal controls, New Jersey Division of Gaming regulations, and company policy. Trainees must maintain property courtesy guidelines and present a polished, professional, and service-minded image. Starting rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to perform basic math quickly.
Ability to get along with coworkers and work as part of a team.
Well-groomed appearance.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Enjoyment of entertaining and communicating with the public.
Must pass a math test and a customer-service-focused panel before acceptance into the training program.
Ability to work varied shifts during a 24-hour period; weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts or stressful customer interactions.

Responsibilities

Learn an effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures.
Learn to deal games in accordance with internal controls, New Jersey Division of Gaming regulations, and company policy.
Learn applicable departmental dealer efficiency metrics.
Learn the protection and control of the game.
Learn to exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets accurately according to house rules.
Deliver friendly, helpful customer service with an upbeat and positive attitude.
Maintain property courtesy guidelines and present a polished, professional, service-minded image.
Perform other duties as assigned.
