About The Position

Paid Dealer School is designed to teach and train aspiring table games dealers. Dealers provide a high level of customer service and promote a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for guests and team members. The role includes opening and closing assigned games, dealing games, handling payouts and currency exchanges, explaining game rules, and helping protect the integrity of games. Team members may also answer guest questions about casino activities or direct guests to the appropriate personnel. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must pass an audition at the end of dealer school.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must understand and speak English.
• Must have excellent guest service skills.
• Manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Open the game at the assigned table, count its contents, verify the count against the closing list, inspect cards or dice, and sign off with the supervisor.
• Deal games, pay out winnings, exchange currency for chips, and inform guests of game rules.
• Change decks of cards or dice, inspect cards, and mix them.
• Verify bank roll fills with the supervisor and security personnel.
• Protect the game by continuously inspecting cards or dice and ensuring betting complies with game rules and minimums.
• Close the game by sorting cards, balancing the rack, counting chips, and signing off with the supervisor.
• Maintain the honesty and integrity of assigned games and control the pace of play.
• Assist guests with questions about casino activities or refer them to appropriate personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
