About The Position
HealthPro Pediatrics is hiring a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for an onsite school setting in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position. The role involves collaborating with school staff and families, assessing students’ educational needs, contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), delivering special education services, and maintaining required district documentation. The listed pay range is $42–$46 per hour. The position is W-2 and includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401(k).
Requirements
- Hold a current license to practice in the applicable state.
- Have successful experience working with culturally diverse families.
- Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students’ educational deficits.
- Conduct initial screenings and comprehensive evaluations.
- Participate in the IEP process by developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for special education services.
- Provide special education sessions using current best practices and the services prescribed in each student’s IEP.
- Maintain district-required documentation, including notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs.
