About The Position

Covetrus is seeking a Distribution Center Team Member responsible for receiving and storing products in a distribution center. The role includes unloading deliveries, checking and entering received products, reporting discrepancies, and putting products away in appropriate stock areas. The work is in a climate-controlled, small-team environment and may require work in a cooler area. Weekend work is described as rare, but mandatory overtime may be required as needed to ensure timely customer delivery.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and understand English to read product descriptions, labels, shelves, and other product documents.
• Ability to understand basic math to ensure accurate product quantities.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment such as order pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed to ensure timely customer delivery.
• Ability to lift and transport 30 pounds regularly and 50–70 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, and reaching.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of work experience in a warehouse or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight trucks delivering merchandise to the distribution center, count pieces, packages, and pallets, and sign the Bill of Lading according to company policy.
• Compare items with vendor packing slips, customer return notes, or transfer documents; receive products and verify item details such as size, color, and quantity.
• Enter received items accurately into the computer system according to the applicable purchase order, return note, or transfer document.
• File completed documents and communicate discrepancies to appropriate parties, including Accounts Payable, Procurement, vendors, and other distribution center facilities.
• Put away products promptly in appropriate stock areas to support customer order fulfillment and check dating for proper stock rotation.
