Daycare Teacher
About The Position
The Daycare Teacher supports children’s safety, education, and care in a nurturing early childhood learning environment at The Sunshine House in Summerville, South Carolina. Teachers create engaging classrooms where children can learn, play, and grow; support social and emotional development; and foster a love of learning through the Creative Curriculum and Brain Connect programs. They also build strong partnerships with families through daily app updates and personal discussions. The Sunshine House has provided early education and childcare for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old for 50 years and operates more than 100 schools across seven states. The advertised pay range is $14.00–$16.00, with candidates who have advanced early childhood education and experience potentially qualifying for higher pay within the range. Regular increases are considered based on additional education, performance, and years of service.
Requirements
- Passion for working with young children.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies.
Nice To Haves
- At least 30 days of experience working in a licensed center is preferred.
- Advanced education and experience in early childhood education may qualify candidates for higher pay within the stated range.
