About The Position

Pathways for Life is seeking a Day Program Caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily routines and activities. The role focuses on promoting independence, building respectful and meaningful relationships, implementing behavior support strategies, and ensuring members’ safety, comfort, rights, and dignity. Caregivers collaborate with supervisors and other professionals to provide comprehensive care. Part-time and full-time schedules are available Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Be over 18 years old.
• Have a clean background.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Be compassionate and patient, and find joy in helping others.
• Be reliable and observant, with a commitment to creating a positive impact.
• Be open to learning and applying behavior management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support members with developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities.
• Foster trust and companionship through respectful, engaging interactions.
• Implement behavior support strategies to address challenging behaviors.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Attend to member safety and comfort through respectful care.
• Uphold member rights and dignity at all times.
