About The Position

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a part-time Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of a commercial property at 2618 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, California. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with Tuesday and Thursday off. Pay is $18.25 per hour, paid weekly.

The Day Porter keeps the property clean, welcoming, and ready for business, regularly inspects the site, and reports maintenance or repair needs. The role involves working independently, providing friendly customer service, staying active and outdoors, and using required safety equipment. Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and a physical endurance test relevant to the job requirements.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively in English or Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Regularly use a mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, for timekeeping and document review.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Work independently.
• Be physically active, comfortable being on your feet, and willing to work outdoors.
• Meet the physical requirements of standing throughout the shift; bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; and regularly walking stairs and large properties.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and job-relevant physical endurance test.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Remove debris such as stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti.
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor.
• Use required safety equipment.
