About The Position

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a full-time Day Porter to help keep a commercial property clean, welcoming, and ready for business. The position is located at 2640 Historic Decatur Rd., San Diego, CA 92106, and is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pay is $18.00 per hour, paid weekly.

The Day Porter regularly walks the property, maintains cleanliness in indoor and outdoor areas, and reports maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor. The role involves working independently, providing friendly customer service, and staying physically active throughout the shift. Applicants must have a valid California driver’s license and at least three years of driving history.

Employment offers are contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and a physical endurance test relevant to the job requirements. Requirements

• Valid California driver’s license and a minimum of three years of driving history.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English or Spanish.
• Regularly use a mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, for timekeeping and document review.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Be comfortable working independently.
• Be physically active and comfortable being on your feet outdoors.
• Meet the physical requirements of standing throughout the shift; bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; and regularly walking up stairs and across large properties.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and job-related physical endurance test.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Remove debris such as stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti.
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor.
• Use required safety equipment.
