About The Position

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a full-time Day Porter for a commercial property in San Diego, California. The Day Porter helps keep the property clean, presentable, welcoming, and ready for business throughout the day, serving as an on-site observer and reporting maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor. The schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with Wednesday and Thursday off. Pay is $18.25 per hour, paid weekly.

The role involves regular movement around the property and outdoor work. Candidates must be comfortable staying on their feet, performing janitorial duties, and working independently. Employment offers are contingent on passing a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and a physical endurance test relevant to the job requirements. The employer participates in E-Verify.

Requirements

• Communicate in English or Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
• Regularly use a mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, for timekeeping and document review.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Be comfortable working independently.
• Be physically active and comfortable being on your feet outdoors.
• Remain on your feet throughout the shift.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Walk stairs and large properties regularly.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Remove debris such as stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti.
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor.
• Use required safety equipment.
