About The Position

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a full-time Day Porter for a commercial property in San Diego, California. The role focuses on keeping the property clean, presentable, welcoming, and ready for business throughout the day. The schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with Wednesday and Thursday off. Pay is $18.25 per hour, paid weekly.

The Day Porter regularly walks and inspects the property, performs cleaning and upkeep, and reports maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor. The position involves working independently, providing friendly customer service, and staying active both indoors and outdoors. Applicants must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical endurance test relevant to the job requirements.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively in English or Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
• Regularly use a mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, for timekeeping and document review.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Work independently.
• Be physically active and comfortable working on your feet outdoors.
• Meet the physical demands of standing throughout the shift; bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; and regularly walking stairs and large properties.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical endurance test relevant to the job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Remove debris such as stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti.
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor.
• Use required safety equipment.
