About The Position

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a full-time Day Porter to keep a commercial property in San Diego clean, welcoming, and ready for business. The role is based at 8110 Mira Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA 92126, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pay is $18.25 per hour, paid weekly.

The Day Porter helps maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the property throughout the day, provides friendly customer service, regularly inspects the site, and reports maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor. The work is physically active and includes extended periods on your feet, outdoor activity, and moving around stairs and large properties. Required safety equipment is provided.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively in English or Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
• Regularly use a mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, for timekeeping and document review.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Be comfortable working independently.
• Be physically active and comfortable being on your feet outdoors.
• Meet the physical requirements of standing throughout the shift; bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; and regularly walking stairs and large properties.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and a physical endurance test relevant to the job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Remove debris such as stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti.
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor.
• Use required safety equipment.
