Summer 2027 Internship - Data Scientist
About The Position
As a Data Scientist Intern, you will work collaboratively with the business areas in a fast-paced agile environment to predict risk, optimize customer retention, detect anomalies, and enhance process efficiencies using internal and third-party data. You will have the opportunity to have hands-on experience with insurance risk, claims and retention models, data visualization, model development using generalized linear models as well as machine learning and AI techniques. Students enrolled in a Data Scientist related program who have strong written and verbal communication skills, good analytical and problem-solving abilities along with a passion for harnessing big data for business insights should consider joining our team!
Requirements
- Students enrolled in a Data Scientist related program
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for harnessing big data for business insights
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong quantitative/analytical skills
- Excellent programming skills using Python, R, and SQL
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to complete project-related tasks and meet deadlines

- Pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or Data Science related major
