About The Position
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Data Scientist Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Phoenix, AZ office. Your role will involve supporting the development and enhancement of data analytics, reporting, and visualization solutions for internal and client-facing projects. You will assist with data collection, validation, transformation, and integration from multiple data sources, including project controls, scheduling, cost, and operational systems. The role includes creating and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and other business intelligence platforms. You will also support the configuration, testing, and deployment of digital solutions used for project management, project controls, and operational reporting. Analyzing business processes and user requirements to identify opportunities for reporting automation and workflow improvements is key. Additionally, you will assist with AI-driven initiatives, including data preparation, testing, prompt development, and evaluation of emerging technologies. Performing quality assurance and validation activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, and collaborating with technical managers, developers, data scientists, and project teams to develop and implement client solutions are also part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Past internship/involvement related to data analytics, business intelligence, software development or digital technologies preferred.
- Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Python or other reporting and analytics platforms preferred.
Responsibilities
