About the position
The Data Privacy Analyst at MEMIC is responsible for ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and regulations. This includes reviewing contracts, managing relationships with vendors, and coordinating all legal issues related to data privacy. The role also involves managing MEMIC's Anti-Fraud and Record Retention policies, as well as assisting in overall enterprise risk management. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data privacy laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure MEMIC is fully compliant with data privacy laws and regulations
- Review contracts to ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations
- Manage relationships with vendors and ensure their compliance with data privacy laws and regulations
- Coordinate all related legal issues, including data breach response plans and incident response
- Manage MEMIC's Anti-Fraud policies and procedures
- Manage Record Retention policies and procedures
- Assist the Corporate Risk Officer in managing MEMIC's overall enterprise risk management
- Have a strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations
- Ability to review contracts and identify potential risks and issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of vendor management and coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in finance, insurance, or compliance, or equivalent combination of work and education experience
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation is a plus
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations
- Ability to review contracts and identify potential risks and issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of vendor management and coordination
