About The Position
Reporting to the Data Manager, the Data Entry Specialist enters information into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) database and similar systems such as TDS. The role includes entering data and running reports related to intakes, services, and exits from HHROC’s programs, as well as conducting daily quality control to ensure data accuracy and integrity. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with a starting wage of $20–$21.00 per hour and a schedule during typical business hours.
Requirements
- One year of experience performing data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent aptitude for and a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience running reports from cloud-based or PC software.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- Direct or lived experience with homelessness, addiction, and/or low-income populations.
- Understanding of issues surrounding homelessness, chemical dependency, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry and reporting related to HHROC’s programs.
- Reconcile data, troubleshoot as needed, and note reasons for unresolved discrepancies.
- Maintain due dates, checklists, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
