Data Entry Associate
About The Position
The Data Entry Associate joins a growing team at a regional credit union and supports member service operations through accurate transaction processing and customer assistance. The role initially focuses on payment-related transactions, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as training progresses. The associate is expected to meet performance standards for accuracy, call quality, and processing efficiency while providing professional, courteous service and following established policies, compliance requirements, security controls, and fraud-prevention protocols. This is a contract-to-hire role based onsite in Herndon, Virginia, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The pay range is $20.00–$21.00 per hour. Benefits may be available subject to eligibility and plan terms.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in data entry or customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Nice To Haves
- Banking, credit union, or call center experience.
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
- Previous experience handling financial transactions or account-related services.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and enter member transactions with precision and efficiency.
- Support member services by processing payments, transferring accounts, opening additional accounts, and assisting with online and mobile banking.
- Initially focus on payment-related transactions and expand responsibilities as training progresses.
- Meet performance metrics and productivity and quality standards, including transaction accuracy, call quality, and processing efficiency.
- Provide professional and courteous service that builds member trust and confidence.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Adhere to operational, security, and fraud-prevention protocols to protect member information and assets.
