About The Position
The Data Center Operations Lead oversees daily onsite operations in a mission-critical facility. The role ensures infrastructure reliability, supports hardware deployments, and drives operational excellence. The position is based onsite in Charlotte, NC, for a six-month duration.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in data center operations.
- Strong hands-on cabling and hardware deployment experience.
- Knowledge of server, storage, network, and power infrastructure.
- Strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in enterprise or hyperscale environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead rack and stack activities, cabling, and hardware installation and removal.
- Manage inventory, documentation, and compliance with standards.
- Troubleshoot server, storage, network, and power issues.
- Monitor facility conditions, including power, cooling, and security.
- Coordinate vendors, deliveries, and maintenance activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to onsite technicians.
