About The Position

The Data Center Logistics Technician supports the team with semi-routine logistics tasks under standard operating procedures. The role coordinates customer deliveries, maintains shipment and materials records, handles shipping and receiving, and helps ensure goods reach their destinations efficiently. It also supports inventory and equipment tracking, follows hazardous-material procedures, and assists with customer equipment delivery, removal, and packing at the data center.

Requirements

High school diploma.
1–2 years of equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

Regional hazardous materials certification.

Responsibilities

Coordinate large customer deliveries and resolve shipping or receiving issues; maintain records and logs of materials.
Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to assigned tasks.
Coordinate timely delivery of goods to required destinations and obtain receipt sign-off.
Inform recipients when ordered goods have been delivered.
Maintain records of materials received and shipped.
Receive goods delivered to the data center, either directly or after security acceptance.
Enter details of inbound and outbound shipments and ensure order requirements are fulfilled.
Use shipment spotlight and shipment dashboard for customers’ inbound and outbound shipments.
Inspect received goods and reject unsatisfactory items when necessary.
Communicate proactively with internal and external customers to ensure on-time deliveries.
Assist with difficult shipping and receiving issues when needed.
Follow established procedures for hazardous materials and comply with applicable regional protocols.
Track stored and abandoned equipment.
Use aging-shipment processes and tools for shipments over 5, 14, 30, and 90 days.
Assist with delivery and removal of customer equipment from cages using established procedures.
When requested through a Smart Hand request, assist with packing customer equipment for shipment from the data center.
