Data Center IT Technician - Project Tasks
About The Position
Nebius is seeking an L2 IT Technician with Project Management experience to support and maintain large-scale GPU clusters in a data center environment. This role involves troubleshooting high-performance server hardware, including GPU clusters, and implementing additional infrastructure components on production sites. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical experience combined with project management skills to drive projects forward, identify risks, and collaborate with third parties during implementations. Responsibilities include resolving complex hardware incidents, proactive L1/L2 support via ticketing, updating documentation, and collaborating with the Technical Project Manager.
Requirements
- Knowledge of datacenters, and server equipment
- Advanced knowledge of IT hardware and practical experience of troubleshooting
- Advanced skills working with the Unix/Linux operating system and command line
- Experience with equipment monitoring, data analysis and presentation
- Basic understanding of Project Management methodologies
- Basic understanding of Project Management tools (JIRA, Gantt charts)
- Proactiveness and sense of responsibility
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of network equipment and troubleshooting in advanced level
- Proven project management experience in IT Infrastructure domain
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science
- Driving license
Responsibilities
- Solve hardware related issues with servers, involving in-depth advanced level troubleshooting
- Report to hardware problem management, execute workarounds and solutions
- Solve proactively L1/L2 tasks through ticket system
- Update new processes and documentation for IT hardware team
- Collaborate with Technical Project Manager on current projects
- Participate in technical projects implementations
- Oversee 3rd party contractor activities during project implementations
- Basic level of network tasks, troubleshooting and support
