About The Position

Crusoe is looking for a Data Center Hardware Technician responsible for the operational integrity and daily operations of Crusoe Cloud mission-critical Modular Data Centers. This role requires mastering both mechanical/electrical system troubleshooting and server/network maintenance to ensure modular units remain online and efficient. The technician will manage everything from high-voltage electrical distribution to the fiber network infrastructure powering AI and cloud services.

Requirements

Proficient knowledge of IT systems, network infrastructure, and the electrical/mechanical systems used in a data center environment.
Understanding of Transformers, PLCs, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, STS, ATS, PDUs, Chilled Water Systems, and Fire Suppression systems.
Experience with data trending and analysis, including the ability to rapidly learn and use PC-based integrated critical monitoring systems (EPMS/BMS).
Expert knowledge in industrial safety best practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash protection (NFPA 70E), and OSHA regulations.
Strong technical background with experience on computer/network gear as well as support infrastructure (HVAC and electrical).
This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a "Mission Critical" environment (e.g., data centers, hospitals, or power plants).
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, BICSI, or specialized electrical/HVAC licenses.
Experience with industrial control systems and PLC programming.

Responsibilities

Continuously monitor Data Center operations and HVAC performance to ensure optimal thermal environments for hardware.
Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems; schedule and oversee contractors for monthly and annual deep-service requirements.
Diagnose and repair fiber network infrastructure and server-level hardware issues as they arise.
Identify and repair data center problems quickly to minimize downtime, utilizing logic to solve complex technical failures.
Assist in technical writing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Method of Procedure (MOP) documents for maintenance activities.
Manage contractor services to ensure quality work product and maintain strong relationships with critical infrastructure vendors.
Participate in an on-call rotation to address emergency issues and provide notification of maintenance activities to appropriate departments.
