About The Position

Gainwell Technologies is hiring a Data Analytics and Reporting Subject Matter Expert to support its work helping healthcare clients improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve. The role contributes to analytics and reporting solutions by defining business metrics with stakeholders, designing and maintaining data pipelines and dashboards, and improving data infrastructure and workflows. The position also provides analytics guidance to leadership and supports operational and strategic decision-making through clear communication of data insights. This is a fully remote position supporting the Anchorage, Alaska office. The employee must be willing to work 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Alaska Standard Time and may travel through work up to 25% of the time. Video cameras are required during interviews and the initial week of orientation.

Requirements

2–5 years of data analytics experience.
Experience with Python and/or other data scripting languages.
Experience using a business intelligence visualization tool such as Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI.
Experience querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms to investigate large and diverse data sets.
Ability to learn and apply emerging data analytics toolkits based on the problem statement.
Analytical strength and curiosity to understand and explain questions and observations in data.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve unique problems with creative and efficient solutions.
Willingness to work 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. AKST.
Willingness to travel through work up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define key business metrics and gather requirements for insights to be made available at scale.
Architect data pipelines and design and build dashboards for stakeholders.
Maintain and improve data infrastructure and dashboards as business requirements evolve.
Publish and maintain clear documentation, educate users, gather feedback, and identify improvement opportunities.
Identify ways to streamline and improve data processes.
Optimize SQL queries and data workflows to improve data landing time.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and gaps and align on solutions.
Lead projects end to end and provide thought partnership to the team.
Understand client and departmental contractual requirements to ensure analytics deliverables meet contractual obligations, service-level expectations, and business outcomes.
Partner with leadership to identify data-driven improvements, surface risks or issues, and support solution-based initiatives and transformational projects.
Provide leadership with insights, recommendations, and proactive guidance based on data trends and performance metrics.
Support operational and strategic decision-making by communicating complex data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
