About The Position

The Cylinder Processor processes medical and industrial gas cylinders according to established plant guidelines and procedures. The role includes inspecting cylinders before filling, determining whether they need retesting or repairs, checking cylinder quantities, styles, and products, and filling product as needed. The processor also loads and unloads product from a weekly shuttle truck, operates and maintains cylinder scales and related equipment, prepares warehouse transfer orders and shipment paperwork, and enters filled quantities, styles, and products into the computer to support inventory records. The role also involves maintaining quality-control documentation under company and governmental procedures and operating a forklift and other plant vehicles.

Requirements

High school degree or GED.
More than one year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
Good leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures.

Check cylinder quantities, styles, and products, and fill product as necessary.
Load and unload product from the weekly shuttle truck.
Operate and maintain cylinder scales and associated equipment.
Prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying shipment paperwork.
Enter quantities, styles, and products filled into the computer to support stock inventory records.
Complete and maintain quality-control documentation according to company and governmental procedures.
Operate a forklift truck and other plant vehicles.
