About The Position
The Cylinder Processor processes medical and industrial gas cylinders in accordance with established plant guidelines and procedures. The role includes inspecting cylinders for retesting or repairs, checking products and quantities, filling cylinders, and handling warehouse transfers and shipments. The employee also operates and maintains cylinder scales and related equipment, uses plant vehicles, and completes inventory and quality-control documentation.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED.
- More than one year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
- Process medical and industrial gas cylinders according to established plant guidelines and procedures.
- Inspect cylinders visually, physically, and by odor to determine whether retesting or repairs are needed before filling.
- Check cylinder quantities, styles, and products, and fill the necessary product.
- Load and unload product from the weekly shuttle truck.
- Operate and maintain cylinder scales and associated equipment.
- Prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying shipment paperwork.
- Enter quantities, styles, and products filled into the computer to support stock inventory.
- Complete and maintain quality-control documentation in accordance with company and government procedures.
- Operate a forklift truck and other plant vehicles.
- Perform additional job tasks as required by the manager.
