About The Position

The Cylinder Processor processes medical and industrial gas cylinders in accordance with established plant guidelines and procedures. The role includes inspecting cylinders before filling, determining whether retesting or repairs are needed, handling product and shipments, and operating and maintaining cylinder-processing equipment. The position also involves inventory entry, transfer documentation, quality-control records, and operation of forklifts and other plant vehicles.

Requirements

High school degree or GED.
More than one year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
Good leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures.
Inspect cylinders before filling using visual, physical, and odor tests to determine whether retesting or repairs are needed.
Check cylinder quantities, styles, and products, and fill the necessary products.
Load and unload product from the weekly shuttle truck.
Operate and maintain cylinder scales and associated equipment.
Prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying shipment paperwork.
Enter quantities, styles, and products filled into the computer to support stock inventory.
Complete and maintain quality-control documentation in accordance with company and governmental procedures.
Operate a forklift truck and other plant vehicles.
